My Halloween this year

Hey guys,

So I hope you guys all had an amazing Halloween full of not so many tricks and lots of treats. This past week I've had a week off of uni so just been relaxing and enjoying the Halloween fun! I hope all you guys had a lovely week last week too. So I spent a lot of my Halloween day decorating and preparing for Halloween night and it was so much fun. I just wanted to share some of the pictures of the decorations, we didn't do anything fancy this year just stayed in, made our own pizzas, ate some sweet treats and watched some scary Halloween movies.

I hope you like all of these pictures and I will see you on Friday for a pretty cool post. If anyone has any questions leave them in the comments below and don't forget to check out all of my social media above. I'm going to start asking a question on each post which you can comment your answer in the comments if you like so today I'm asking what is your favourite sweet treat on Halloween?

Easy Halloween Bat D.I.Y

Hey guys,

Today I thought that I was time for us to do an easy Halloween d.i.y because its getting very close to Halloween and I needed something to get me and hopefully all of you in the mood for some Halloween fun. So today I decided I wanted to make these cool Halloween treat bats, they can also be used as decorations too.

All you need is:

Toilet roll tube
Paper/ Card (preferably black)
Glue
Scissors
Colouring pens/pencils/ Paint ( you can choose which one you want)
Glue
Sticky tape

Step 1
Get your toilet roll tube and colour the outside black, you can paint it as well i just chose to colour as you don't have to wait for it to dry.

Step 2
Get a piece of paper/card and a large circular shaped object and draw around it to make two large circles.

Step 3
Then cut the circles out if you need help from an adult then make sure you do.

Step 4
Next fold the circles in half  glue both of the sides together then paint/colour your semi circles in.

Step 5
Get the two half circles and cut half circles out of the straight end of them and that should make your wings.

Step 6
Now we need to bend the top of the toilet paper tube in to the middle so that the bat looks like it has ears.

Step 7
Then put both the wings together and tape them to the back of your bat.

Step 8
Tape them onto the back of the toilet roll tube.

Step 9
Now its time to draw the face on the bat and your done.

If you want to make them into sweet holders then put the sweets inside of it and put some tissue underneath to stop the sweets from falling out. Also you could make a string of bats to hang up but hole punching the sides and putting sting through them.

I hope you like this D.I.Y i tried to make it simple so that everyone can have a go and not feel overwhelmed by how complicated they are. Also if you do recreate this then don't forget to tag me in a picture on instagram my links in the bar at the top of the blog.

October Halloween Favourites

Hey Guys,

It's Halloween soon so i decided since I'm dedicating this month to Halloween I will dedicate some of my October favourites to Halloween and autumn too. I've tried to be a little creative with my pictures so I hope you like them.

1. Fiendish Fancies

You may only be able to get these in England but they are one of the best Halloween treats by far they do other kinda throughout the year such as Christmas ones.

2. Topshop Nail Varnish

This is a new purchase which I got this week and I already love it I can see this being one of my staple nail varnishes for the autumn period. I also got a Topshop lip stick and I'm sad to say that I was not impressed by it. I've heard lots of people talk about the Topshop make up range and its definitely let me down.

3. Sharpies

So these Sharpies are something which I have wanted for so long now but could never bring myself to get until now! I'm so glad that i got them they make my desk look colourful and there are a few D.I.Y's which I plan to use them for through out the next few months.

4.Owl Calender

This owl calender is also something i just had to buy I've wanted one of these never ending calendars for a while now and have been tempted to make my own but once I saw this hand crafted wooden owl one I fell in love with it and I will definitely get a lot of use out of it.

5. Cushions

I have gotten a few cushions over the last few weeks and two of them especially have really made me feel a bit autumnal because of the colours patterns and to be honest I just like dogs.

I hope you like my October favourites don't forget to leave a comment with some of your favourite things from October. Don't forget to come back on Monday for some more Halloween fun and don't forget to share this with your friends.

Fall Spice Tag!

Hi Guys,

Today i decided to do the Fall Spice Tag because I love to do a good tag and since most of my other posts are Halloween related I decided that I should do something different even if its still related to the time of year.

1. Favourite Fall lip product?
Well once its fall my lips tend to start getting more dry so I like to use lip balm more than lip gloss or lip stick so this year I'm going to be using body shops Born Lippy range.

2. Red or Pink lips?
I prefer pink lips I don't think I could pull off the red lips.

3. Winged eye liner or bold shadow?
I don't really wear winged eye liner so I will have to go for bold eye shadow.

4.Natural/ Cold/ Light or Bold/ Warm/ Dark make up?
I think i prefer Natural/ Cold/ Light make up as like I said not sure I can pull off dark bold colours.

5.Favourite Fall Nail Polish?
My favourite fall nail polish has to be essies Saturday disco fever

6. Ugg or Moccasins?
I love the look of moccasins and I've always wanted a pair so probably moccasins plus most people wear uggs nowadays.

7. Fuzzy Socks or Knee High Socks?
One of my most favourite things about fall is the fact that I can wear fuzzy socks so I will definitely go for Fuzzy socks.

8. Favourite Fall accessory?
My favourite fall accessory is basicly anything cosy such as boots, scarf's, socks, hats, gloves.

9. Favourite Fall Food?
My favourite fall food has got to be any kind of warm food maybe like a Sunday dinner with all of the trimmings.

10. Favourite Halloween movie?
My favourite Halloween movie has to be any of the harry potter films there is a list of my favourite films as another blog post if you would like to go look at it.

11. Apple Pie or Brownies?
I would definitely choose any kind of chocolate dessert as my favourite so it has to be brownies.

12. Favourite Halloween Candy?
I love any kind of candy really so any candy I receive at Halloween time I would be happy about.

13. Halloween Costume this year?
I don't think I am going to dress up as anything for Halloween but if I was I think it would be cool to be something scary like a zombie.

14. What is your Favourite thing about Fall?
I love the fact it starts to get a lot colder and cosier and that's why its my favourite time of the year apart from christmas.

I tag all the people who read this tag to do this tag, its a fun and quick thing to do on your blog so that people get to know what you like a bit more! Thank you for reading don't forget to come back on Monday to find out what my favourite Halloween movies are! Also leave a comment with your tag if you do it!

D.I.Y Summer Candle Jar

Hey guys,

I know that summer has probably ended for most of you already but I thought I'd do a summer jar D.I.Y to keep summer going for a little bit longer! I think this jar diy can still look pretty even when its not summer anymore. Its also super simple only six steps needed and even gives you help on how to get the lable off of jars!  All your going to need is...

๐Ÿ’‹ A Jar (any size)
๐Ÿ’‹ Washing up liquid
๐Ÿ’‹ Small candle
๐Ÿ’‹Things to decorate your jar with

If you would like to make it exactly like mine extra things you will need..
๐Ÿ’‹Sand
๐Ÿ’‹Shells
๐Ÿ’‹Tea light

Step number one- Get the jar and remove the lid and any contents if it has any.

Step number two - Fill a sink with water out of the hot tap and place the jar into the water. You may need an adult to help you with that bit because i dont want you to burn yourself!

Step number three- Leave the jar in the water for around three to five minutes and then the label should come off pretty easily. If it doesnt then keep the jar in the water for a few minutes longer.

Step number four- Put some washing up liquid on the jar and rub the inside and outside untill it feels like theres nothing sticky left on the jar you may need to use a scrubbie to get any tough glue off of the jar.

Step number five- Rinse off the water and soap and make sure that all of the glue is off of the jar and that it doesn't smell like food anymore then dry the jar out.

Step number six- Add sand, then shells and a candle to the jar and light the candle!
I also added a wooden summery looking box onto my bedside table at i thought they went well together.

I hope you liked this quick D.I.Y if you have any questions dont hesitate to leave them down bellow and remember to tag me in any pictures if you recreate this @LucyHainsworthx on twitter and Loofahdoofah on instagram :) also i would love your feedback and ideas!

Lucy xoxo
