Winter Essentials

Hey Guys,

I'm sorry I've been rubbish at uploading this week, to make up for it I've spent a while changing my background ready for christmas I hope you like it! Also lately I've noticed that everyone has started to wear winter clothes, such as scarf's, hats and coats. So I decided that it was time for me to do an Autumn/Winter essentials blog post to tell you about some of my Winter essentials and hopefully give you some ideas.

So here is some of the things that you might need when you go outdoors:-

1. Winter Boots to make sure you don't get cold feet.

2. Leggings are always good as they are cosy.

3. Jeans are a winter essential for everyone.

4. Scarf's are always good to keep you warm and they look pretty with outfits.

5.Gloves to keep your hands warm.

6. A coat to keep you all cosy.

7. Ear Muffs not an essential but are good I have cool ones with built in earphones.

8. Jumpers for the extra cold winter days.

9. Cardigans for the not as cold winter days.

10. A hat to keep all your heat in.

I though I would add some essentials for the Indoors too.

1. Big Cosy Blankets are always good if your a bit chilly inside.

2. Pyjamas are the cosiest thing to wear on a lazy day especially in winter.

3.  I wear slippers all the time in the winter especially slipper boots.

4. Movies are always good for Wintery cosy days.

5.Hot Drinks are great to warm you up after being out in the cold.

6. Bath Stuff is good all year round but I feel winter in bath season.

I hope that this post was helpful to at least one person to know what kind of things will be good for them to have this winter. Obviously not all of these are life or death items but I thought they were all items which would be nice to have this winter. Also sorry that I didn't upload last week I had a lot going on.

Ikea Folders D.I.Y

Hey Guys,

Today I decided to do a D.I.Y that I'd seen on pintrest and I thought it would be a really cool addition to my uni room because they are practical and pretty. These have been so good to put my uni work and blog stuff in that I thought I would share the idea with you all.

What you will need:-

Ikea folders
Wrapping Paper
Glue
Scissors
pen/pencil

Step 1- Get your wrapping paper lay it out and draw around the side of the file which you want to put that paper on.
Step 2- Cut out the outline for the paper and stick it onto the side of the side of the folders that you want it to be on. Step 3- Keep going till you have covered all sides of the folder and then display them as you like

Thank you for reading I hope you all like this even though its a short post I thought that it was an easy one for everyone to do. Don't forget to check out all of my social media above and come back on Monday for another new post.

xoxo Lucy .

August favourites

Hi guys,

I know its quite late into the month of September but today I've decided that I am going to start doing monthly favourites and since there were a lot of things that I loved in the month of august I've decided to do august favourites for you before September ends.

My first favourite of august has to be a new nail varnish which I picked up and I think this one is perfect for august because it is a very summery blue colour it reminds me of the sky and the sea. Ive never had a beauty uk nail varnish before but it was on the lower skale of nail varnishes so i thought id give it a try and i loved it.

Beauty uk nail varnish £2.99 superdrug in colour tealed with a kiss

My second favourite is these two adorable Topshop bows which I got a few months ago but only just got around to wearing and every time I do I get complements. I love to wear them with a simple ponytail, half up half down hairstyle and my most favourite is when I have a bun in my hair I think a bow hair bobble just finishes off the hair style.

Topshop bow hair bobble £ 3.99 each

My third favourite has got to be this amazing little note book my sister got me when she went on holiday. But its not just this notebook, I've been loving any little handbag sized notebook that I can carry around with me and write a list in or an idea wherever I am. I think that everyone should have one of these because it encourages you to become a lot more organised.

The fourth of my favourites is dry shampoo which I was very sceptical about at the start. But its become one of the things which I have used a lot throughout the summer when I've had a busy few days and not had time to do much with my hair. Its also good for if i need more texture in my hair before curling it as it helps keep the curls in for longer. I would deffinately reccomend it to anyone.

Batise dry shampoo £3.00 from superdrug

Now my last but no means least favourite is the bodyshop moisture foundation with spf 15 in it and ive loved this on days when ive wanted to go for a more natural make up look. The amazing thing about it is that it has spf in it so it protects your skin from the sun but also its easy to apply, doesnt feel cakey and it stays on for a lobg period of time which is always a bonus.

The body shop foundation £13.00

Hope you guys love some of my favourites as much as I do and don't forget to come back next month for my September Friday favourites and on Monday for another surprise post and every Monday and Friday for the rest of your life! Also moving into new university halls tomorrow and I'm so scared haha wish me luck.

D.I.Y Summer Candle Jar

Hey guys,

I know that summer has probably ended for most of you already but I thought I'd do a summer jar D.I.Y to keep summer going for a little bit longer! I think this jar diy can still look pretty even when its not summer anymore. Its also super simple only six steps needed and even gives you help on how to get the lable off of jars!  All your going to need is...

๐Ÿ’‹ A Jar (any size)
๐Ÿ’‹ Washing up liquid
๐Ÿ’‹ Small candle
๐Ÿ’‹Things to decorate your jar with

If you would like to make it exactly like mine extra things you will need..
๐Ÿ’‹Sand
๐Ÿ’‹Shells
๐Ÿ’‹Tea light

Step number one- Get the jar and remove the lid and any contents if it has any.

Step number two - Fill a sink with water out of the hot tap and place the jar into the water. You may need an adult to help you with that bit because i dont want you to burn yourself!

Step number three- Leave the jar in the water for around three to five minutes and then the label should come off pretty easily. If it doesnt then keep the jar in the water for a few minutes longer.

Step number four- Put some washing up liquid on the jar and rub the inside and outside untill it feels like theres nothing sticky left on the jar you may need to use a scrubbie to get any tough glue off of the jar.

Step number five- Rinse off the water and soap and make sure that all of the glue is off of the jar and that it doesn't smell like food anymore then dry the jar out.

Step number six- Add sand, then shells and a candle to the jar and light the candle!
I also added a wooden summery looking box onto my bedside table at i thought they went well together.

I hope you liked this quick D.I.Y if you have any questions dont hesitate to leave them down bellow and remember to tag me in any pictures if you recreate this @LucyHainsworthx on twitter and Loofahdoofah on instagram :) also i would love your feedback and ideas!
